FAQIt’s not uncommon for many first-time and returning patients to have questions about visiting our Clackamas dental office. To help you better manage and prepare for the quality oral care you require, here are some answers to a few questions we’re commonly asked by patients. Where are you located? We’re conveniently located at 14210 SE Sunnyside Rd. Suite 200 in scenic Clackamas, Oregon. What dental insurances do you accept? We are insurance friendly and happily accept a wide range of dental insurance plans. We will always do our best to help patients maximize their benefits. Sunnyside Dentistry is a preferred provider with Delta Dental plans, Washington Dental Service, and Moda. For additional information on the types of insurance we accept, and to find out what treatments your plan will cover, please feel free to contact our office at 503-558-9828 with questions and a member of our front office staff will be happy to assist you. What options do you offer for patients without insurance? Our team at Sunnyside Dentistry remains committed to providing affordable dental care to all of our patients, with insurance or without. For patients not currently covered under a dental plan, we offer special introductory offers and accept CareCredit. To learn about CareCredit, visit CareCredit.com. We will work with you to help fit the dental care you need into any budget. How often should I schedule dental appointments? At Sunnyside Dentistry, we recommend that patients schedule regular exams and cleanings once every six months, or twice a year. Patients with certain underlying medical conditions like diabetes or who are pregnant may need to schedule exams more frequently as their current oral health dictates. Regular exams allow our dentists the opportunity to spot the signs of dental decay and disease early one while still easily treatable. Frequent cleanings provide our team of gentle dental hygienists with the chance to remove plaque deposits from the surface of your teeth and along the gum line before they can contribute to the development of cavities and gum disease. As a new patient, can I get a cleaning during my first visit?During your first visit to see our family dentist in Clackamas, we will take the time to thoroughly assess the current state of your oral health. Your first appointment will typically include a full series of digital X-rays, a periodontal evaluation, and a comprehensive dental exam performed by a dentist. This will provide our staff with the information needed to develop a custom treatment planned designed to meet your oral care needs. We will do our best to complete a cleaning during your first appointment, but depending on how long it’s been since your last cleaning, the condition of your teeth may necessitate a second appointment to complete your cleaning. What types of dental services do you provide?Dr. Brooke Hikade-Wyatt, Dr. Chad Casebeer and our team at Sunnyside Dentistry specialize in complete general and cosmetic dentistry services designed to help your entire family maintain optimum dental health for a lifetime. Our comprehensive general dental care services and treatments include everything from preventative services – such as dental exams and cleanings – to cosmetic treatments and tooth repair. I have a fear of the dentist. How can you help?If the idea of visiting our Clackamas dental office causes you unwanted stress and anxiety, know that you’re not alone. Between 9 to 15 percent of Americans report avoiding the dentist due to dental anxiety. To help you overcome this phobia, we encourage you to speak with our dentists. Together, we’ll be able to address your dental anxiety so that you feel more comfortable and relaxed during your next appointment. Broken Appointment PolicyWe at Sunnyside Dentistry strive to provide the best care possible for each patient, without rushing through treatment. We try our best to stay on schedule to eliminate waiting times as we feel our patients’ time is valuable. We can only do this if patients respect their appointment time as well. We ask that all patients confirm their visits when they receive a call or a text from the office. If we are unable to confirm an appointment despite multiple calls and texts or if a patient is too late to their appointment, the time slot may be offered to one of the many other patients who are waiting for an opening. We understand that there are some circumstances that are beyond a patient’s control. We ask that patients give at least a 24-hour notice if an appointment needs to be rescheduled so that we may offer the time slot to another patient. If a patient fails to give 48 business hours’ notice or does not show up to their appointment, a $50/hr missed appointment fee may be assessed. Failure to keep scheduled appointments may result in same day only scheduling. In some cases, we may be unable to reschedule and may recommend seeking care at an office that is a better fit for the patient’s schedule. |
